Games can advance ridiculously fast now, simple things such as pacman, linerider or mario have jumped into 3d and got incredibly advanced. Animations are smoother, graphics are nicer, the physics are more accurate and the gameplay is more fun.

without any additional work put into it.Imagine what games can become, for example the grand theft auto series

With improvements like this, the gaming world could be in a real-life state within 10 years. This means the future of gaming is closer than some may think.Real life animations + graphics are all well and good, but it does not make a good game, the physics have to be accurate and realistic in a lot of games. Does this mean that a lot of fun things will be taken out of games like this :
No modifcations used…. Does this mean things like this will die out? Games are supposed to be fun, but by making them so real it takes out a certain aspect of the game.
Games like Total Annihilation:

Are a lot more fun then their remake, Supreme Commander even if the graphics are better

But the gameplay is not as good.
